Swim Lessons (Teen/Adult 15 years plus)
Teen/Adult Swim Lessons: Participants who register for this class will be divided into the correct level/stage on the first day of class by the swim instructors Please see the level/stages below for descriptions of how each level/stage will be divided.
Level/Stage 1/2/3 is for beginners to learn the basics of paddle stroke, proper body position, breath control, floating and beginner front crawl and back crawl. Students will learn calming techniques to help overcome their water fears.
Level/Stage 4 is for intermediate swimmers who are comfortable in the deep water who need to develop their front crawl, rotary breathing and back crawl. Students in this level will begin to swim one length of the pool with the goal to be able to swim at least two laps with proficient strokes. Introduction to breaststroke kick and elementary backstroke kick.
Level/Stage 5/6 for the adult swimmer who is comfortable a minimum of 2 laps who need to refine all their strokes and build endurance.
